A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CYPRESS DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF
SAINT ANN AVENUE, VONNIE LANE,
DANNY AVENUE, CYPRESS AVENUE,
SPRAGUE AVENUE, AND LA HOMA STREET
WHEREAS, the public convenience and necessity require,
and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Cypress, to vacate various portions of streets located within the
City of Cypress; and,
WHEREAS, proceedings for such proposed vacation will be
conducted pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3,
Streets and Highways Code, State of California, as amended,
herein referred to as "Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law."
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, DECLARED,
DETERMINED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CYPRESS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Cypress
hereby declares its intent to vacate the following portions of
Saint Ann Avenue, Vonnie Lane, Danny Avenue, Cypress Avenue,
Sprague Avenue, and La Homa Street:
DESCRIPTION OF GENERAL LOCATION AND EXTENT
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated by refer-
ence as though fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2. The proposed vacation is consistent with
the goals and objectives of the General Plan of the City of
Cypress.
SECTION 3. That Monday, February 22, 1993, at the
hour of 7:30 p.m. at the Cypress City Council Chambers, 5275
Orange Avenue, Cypress, California, is fixed as the time and
place for hearing all objections to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 4. A map of the portion of said streets is
on file in the Office of the Director of Public Works of the City
of Cypress, and the attention of anyone interested in additional
particulars is directed to this office.
SECTION 5. The Director of Public Works is directed
to cause notices to be posted along the line of the portion of
the streets proposed to be vacated in accordance with the provi-
sions of Section 8323 of the Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk of the City of Cypress is
hereby authorized, designated and directed to give notice of said
hearing in the time, form and manner as required by the Streets,
Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law.
SECTION 7. The City Council of the City of Cypress
hereby declares that there is no daily or weekly newspaper
published and circulated in the City of Cypress. The City Clerk
of the City of Cypress is hereby directed to cause this Resolu-
tion of Intention to be published for at least two (2) successive
weeks prior to the date set for the hearing, in a newspaper of
general circulation serving the City of Cypress, California, all
as provided for in Government Code Section 6066.

DESCRIPTION OF GENERAL LOCATION AND EXTENT OF STREET VACATION
1. The Northerly and Southerly 6.50 Feet of SAINT ANN AVENUE
(From Walker Street to East City Limit), VONNIE LANE, and
DANNY AVENUE.
2. The Easterly and Westerly 6.50 Feet of CYPRESS AVENUE (South
of the MacKay Elementary School Site).
3. The Northerly and Southerly 7.00 Feet of SPRAGUE AVENUE
(From Walker Street to Approximately 130 Feet West of the
Centerline of Cypress Avenue).
4. The Easterly 7.00 Feet of LA HOMA STREET (From Crescent
Avenue to Approximately 100 Feet North of MacKay Elementary
School Site).
5. The Westerly 7.00 Feet of LA HOMA STREET (From Crescent
Avenue to Approximately 70 Feet North of MacKay Elementary
School Site).
An Easement for Sidewalk and Public Utility Purposes shall be
reserved over the above described areas to be vacated.
A Map showing the area to be vacated is on file in the office of
the City Engineer of the City of Cypress.
