A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
APPROVING AMENDMENT TO THE BP -20000 BUSINESS PARK ZONE FOR
THE ADDITION OF BATTING CAGE USES TO THE LIST OF CONDITIONALLY
PERMI I"I ED USES
WHEREAS, the property generally bounded by Cerritos Avenue to the north,
the Southern Pacific Railroad line to the south, the PC -5 Planned Community Zone to the
east, and Walker Street to the west, and the property generally bounded by Ferne Avenue
to the north, the Southern Pacific Railroad line to the south, Holder Street to the east, and
the PC -4 Planned Community Zone to the west are presently zoned BP -20000 business Park
Zone, and this zone establishes development criteria favorable to both the community and
the property owner; and
WHEREAS, Section 11.1.H. of the BP -20000 Zone authorizes the City Council
to add those uses determined by resolution to be similar to and no more detrimental than
existing permitted uses in any industrial zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of
Cypress DOES HEREBY APPROVE Amendment to the PC -1 Zone as follows:
Section I. Section 11.1.D. of the BP -20000 Business Park Zone is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"D. Public, semipublic and industrial uses BP -20000 ML -10000
1. Post offices and post terminals C C
2. Public utility pumping stations,
electric generating stations and
substations, equipment buildings
and installations C C
3. Public utility service yards C
4. Indoor batting cages C C"
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular
meeting held on the 26th day of July 1993.
