RESOLUTION NO. 3572
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
APPROVING AMENDED SPECIFIC PLAN NO. 88 -3,
SORRENTO PLANNED COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress conducted a
public hearing on May 8, 1989, to consider Amended Specific Plan
No. 88 -3, PC -7, located near the northwest corner of Ball Road
and Moody Street, as shown in Attachment "A "; and
WHEREAS, the Specific Plan details a land use plan and
development regulations for approximately 667 single - family
homes; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Amended Specific Plan amends Sections
III.B.2.a.l.f.iii and III.B.2.a.2.f.iii to allow a minimum five -
foot (5') instead of ten -foot (10') building setback for side
yards abutting a local street, private drive or arterial
landscaped setback area. This proposed amendment applies only to
a maximum of eleven (11) lots; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Amended Specific Plan is consistent
with the General Plan -Low Density Residential designation; and
WHEREAS, after a thorough analysis by the City Council of
the City of Cypress concerning the plans' future impact on the
community, a motion was made to approve the Amended Specific Plan
subject to the conditions attached as Attachment 1.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Cypress at a regular meeting held on the 8th day of May 1989.

ATTACHMENT 1
1 Amended Specific Plan No. 88 -3 applies only to the subject
five -foot (5') side yard setbacks for the following eleven
(11) designated lots: Numbers 150, 203, 204, 252, 253, 315,
354, 483, 594, 595 and 605 of draft Vesting Tentative Tract
Map No. 13228 dated April 27, 1989. Any further proposed
changes to the Sorrento Specific Plan shall require a
separate Specific Plan Amendment.
2. At the time of Tentative Tract Map review, the applicant
shall submit typical sections showing the masonry block wall
which the applicant shall install for the rear side portions
of all approximately 667 project lots.
