A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO
INCLUDE WITHIN THE ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST
(OCUTT) FUND PROGRAM THE IMPROVEMENT OF CRESCENT AVENUE
AND ORANGE AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Cypress desires to construct
improvements on certain of its arterial streets; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission intends
to allocate funds from the Orange County Unified Transportation
Trust (OCUTT) Fund Program for the improvement of arterial
streets within the incorporated cities of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Circulation Element of the City of Cypress
General Plan is consistent with the County of Orange Master Plan
of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cypress intends to provide fifty
percent (50 %) in matching funds for projects funded through the
OCUTT Fund Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of. the
City of Cypress hereby requests the Orange County Transportation
Commission to allocate matching funds to complement the City's
percentage participation stated above. The projects for which
matching funds are requested, the total cost of each project, and
the fiscal years of construction, are as follows:
1. Crescent Avenue, from 130 feet east
of Carob Street to 65 east of
Southern Pacific Railroad (1990 -91)
$191, 000.00
2. Orange Avenue, from Valley View
Street to Holder Street (1990 -91) $143,000.00
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Cypress at a regular meeting held on the 22nd day of January,
1990.
