A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
COMMENDING MR. FRANK P. NOE FOR HIS SERVICE AND LEADER-
SHIP IN THE COMMUNITY.
WHEREAS, Frank P. Noe has been a resident of the Cypress community for over 26
years; and
WHEREAS, prior to the incorporation of the City of Cypress, Frank P. Noe was
an active community leader serving as the Charter President of the Cypress Kiwanis
Club, and as President of the Cypress Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Noe was elected as a Trustee of the Cypress Elementary School
District from July, 1951 to July, 1952; and to the Board of Directors of the Cypress
County Water District from December, 1953 to December,1967; and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Noe was elected to the Cypress City Council in 1962 and re-
elected to a second 4 -year term to the City Council in 1966; and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Noe was elected by his fellow councilmen to a 1 -year term as
Mayor Pro -Tem and 4 years as Mayor; and
WHEREAS, during his service on the Cypress City Council, Frank P. Noe represen-
ted the City on the Orange County Sanitation District, and in the Southern California
Association of Governments; and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Noe was elected by city officials from Orange County to serve
as representative on the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of his service, Frank P. Noe has been awarded an
honorary life membership in the Cypress School PTA, and was the first recipient of
the Community Service Award presented by the Cypress Federation for Community Affairs.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cypress
hereby commends Frank P. Noe for his service and leadership in the community.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular
meeting held on the 25th day of May, 1970.
