RESOLUTION NO. 1092
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 703 RULE XI., SECTIONS 5 AND 6,
CONCERNING METHOD OF COMPUTATION OF VACATION FOR EMPLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, California, as
follows:
SECTIONS 5 AND 6 OF RULE XI OF RESOLUTION NO. 703 of the City of Cypress
entitled "ATTENDANCE AND LEAVES" adopted on June 13, 1966, are hereby amended to
read as follows:
SEC. 5. Method of Computation: Regular leave with pay is granted to each
regular and probationary employee except police at the rate of 5/6 of a calendar
day per month for the first two years of employment. After the end of the second
year of employment, the rate of computation will be 1 day per month. After the end
of the fifth year of employment, the rate of computation will be 11 day per month.
The employee shall take his vacation within one year from his anniversary date. An
employee who has completed less than one year's service during the calendar year
shall receive a proportionate fraction in accordance with the amount of service to
his credit during the year. Provided, however, that no employee shall be entitled
to any regular vacation until he has completed twelve months of continuous service.
SEC. 6. Police personnel: Each member of the Police Department is hereby
granted fifteen calendar days of annual leave from active duty for the first two
years of service with the City under the provisions of the Government Code, Section
38634. At the end of the second year the rate shall be computed as specified in
Section 5. Said vacations shall be subject to all terms of these rules and regu-
lations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular
meeting held on the 27th day of July, 1970.
