Resolution No. 11073 85 RESOLUTION NO. 1107 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS COMMENDING CYPRESS BOY SCOUT RANDY MONTROSE ON ACHIEVING THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT. WHEREAS, Randy Montrose, 16 years of age, has been a resident in the City of Cypress since 1962; and WHEREAS, Randy's scouting career began in 1962 as a member of Cub Scout Pack 76 in Cypress, following which he became a member of Boy Scout Troop 76 in Cypress, which consists of approximately 25 members; and WHEREAS, Randy has earned 23 merit badges, and the Silver Moccasin Hiking Award; and WHEREAS, Randy has served as Den Chief, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and now serves as Senior Patrol Leader for Troop 76; and WHEREAS, Randy has achieved the position of Brotherhood Member in the Order of the Arrow; and WHEREAS, the Eagle Rank, which is the highest rank in Scouting, has recently been earned by Randy Montrose; and WHEREAS, the Cypress City Council deems it a special privilege to have a Boy Scout of Randy's caliber in the City of Cypress; and WHEREAS, a Court of Honor will be held on October 21, 1970, to recognize the achievement of Randy Montrose in earning the rank of Eagle Scout. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cypress to commend Eagle Scout Randy Montrose on the achievement of the highest rank of the Boy Scouts of America. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of October, 1970.
