Resolution No. 1137RESOLUTION NO. 1137 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS AMENDING RESOLUTION NOe 703, RULE XT, SECTION 21, CONCERN- ING THE BASIC COMPENSATION PLAN FOR EMPLOYEES TN THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, California, that Rule XI, Section 21 of Resolution No. 703 entitled "Attendance and Leaves ", adopted on June 13, 1966 and amended on June 23, 1969, is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 21. Bereavement Leave Whenever an employee is compelled to be absent from duty by reason of the death or critical illness where death appears imminent of Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Wife, Husband, Child, Grandmother, Grandfather, Mother -in -law or Father -in law, such employee shall, upon approval of his Department Head, be entitled to bereavement leave to a maximum of three (3) working days in a calendar year, if the deceased relative lived within the southern California area, or five (5) working days in a calendar year, if the deceased relative lived outside the southern California area PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of December, 19700 ATTEST: CITY ERRK 0 THE CITY OF CYPRESS STATE OF CALIFORNIA) SS COUNTY OF ORANGE ) MAY OF- -THE ITY OF CYPRESS I, DARRELL ESSEX, City Clerk of the City of Cypress, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 28th day of December, 1970, by the following vote: AYES: 5 COUNCILMEN: Harvey, Kanode, Lacayo, Roberts and Kanel NOES: 0 COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: 0 COUNCILMEN None CITY CLERK OF THATY OF CYPRESS
