RESOLUTION NO. 3200
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
DENYING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 87 -3.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS HEREBY FINDS, RESOLVES, DETERMINES
AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That an application was filed for a conditional use permit in
accordance with the terms of the Zoning Ordinance at the City of Cypress to
operate an herbal pain clinic featuring acupuncture, acupressure and herbal
medicine at 4682 Lincoln Avenue.
2. That the City Council, after proper notice thereof, duly held a
public hearing on said application as provided by law.
3. That the City Council does hereby DENY said conditional use permit
because it is unsafe to make the following findings required by Section 17.2 -7
of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Cypress:
a. The proposed location of the conditional use and the
conditions under which it would be operated or main-
tained will not be detrimental to the public health,
safety, or welfare, or materially injurious to
properties or improvements in the vicinity. This
finding cannot be made for the following reasons:
(1) The proposed use requires a conditional use
permit and the applicant did not provide
sufficient information to demonstrate that
the use is compatible with surrounding
properties.
(2) The applicant did not demonstrate a need
for this type of business in the subject
location as there is a similar use less
than 1,000 feet away.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a
regular meeting held on the 23rd day of February 1987.

said City Council held on the 23rd day of February 1987, by the following
roll call vote:

NOES: 2 COUNCIL MEMBERS: Mullen and Kanel
ABSENT: 0 COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
