HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3270147 RESOLUTION NO. 3270 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FEE SCHEDULE TO BE USED WITH THE LATEST EDITIONS OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE, UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE AND UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress has adopted Ordinances requiring various building, plumbing, electrical and grading permits; and WHEREAS, said Ordinances require that fees for such permits shall be set by Resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City desires to establish such fees in accordance with those prescribed in the Uniform Administrative Code, 1985 edition,attached as Exhibit A/ and by this referen :e is incorporated herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cypress hereby establishes the Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Grading permit fee schedules as prescribed in The Uniform Administrative Code, 1985 edition. The City Council finds and determines that the fees as set forth in the Uniform Administrative Code, 1985 edition do not exceed the estimated reasonable cost to the City of providing such services. This Resolution supersedes all previous Resolutions which established any Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Grading Permit Fees in conflict with those set forth herein. New Residential Buildings The following fees shall include all wiring and electrical equipment in or on each building, or other electrical equipment on the same premises constructed at the same time. For new multifamily residential buildings (apartments and condominiums) having three or more living units not including the area of garages, carports and other noncommercial automobile storage areas constructed at the same time, per square foot .03 For new single- and two - family residential buildings not including the area of garages, carports and other minor accessory buildings constructed at the same time, per square foot .035 For other types of residential occupancies and alterations, additions and modifications to existing residential buildings, use the UNIT FEE SCHEDULE. 2 149 150 EXHIBIT "A" Private Swimming Pools For new private, residential, in- ground, swimming pools for single - family and multifamily occupancies including a complete system of necessary branch circuit wiring, bonding, grounding, underwater lighting, water pumping and other similar electrical equipment directly related to the operation of a swimming pool, each 30.00 For other types of swimming pools, therapeutic whirlpools, spas and alterations to existing swimming pools, use the UNIT FEE SCHEDULE.
