RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CYPRESS DETERMINING THE PREVAILING RATE
OF WAGE FOR PUBLIC WORK CONTRACTS TO BE
PERFORMED FOR THE CITY OF CYPRESS
WHEREAS, Section 1773 of the Labor Code of
the State of California requires the City Council
in awarding any contract for public work to ascertain
the general prevailing rate of wage in the City of
Cypress for each craft or type of workman needed
to execute the contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CYPRESS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Pursuant to the provisions of
Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of
California, the City Council of the City of Cypress
does hereby ascertain that the general prevailing
rate of wages applicable to public work contracts
to be performed within the City of Cypress are those
contained in the following documents:
A. Pamphlet entitled " Sub - Trades Hourly
Wage Rates of Building and Construction
Trades Unions ", revised 10/1/61, a true
copy of which is attached hereto, marked
Exhibit A, and is by this reference
made a part hereof as though set
forth in full at this point.
B. Pamphlet entitled "1961- Wage Scales
for the Six Basic Trades ", revised
6/1/61, a true copy of which is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit B,
and is by this reference made
a part hereof as though set forth
in full at this point.
Section 2: This resolution supersedes all
previous determinations by the City Council of the
City of Cypress with respect to prevailing rates of
wages in said City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of February, 1962.
