RESOLUTION NO. 430
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS ELECTING
TO PROCEED UNDER THE LAW FOR THE PURPOSE OF VACATING AN ALLEY
AS A PUBLIC STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF CYPRESS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,
DETERMINE, ORDER AND FIND AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intention of the City of Cypress to vacate
and abandon the following described three parcels of land which are
reservations in favor of the City, for alley purposes.
SECTION 2. The City Council elects to proceed under the provisions
of the Streets and Highways Code, commencing with Part 3 thereof, and
more specifically Section 8320 and following.
SECTION 3. The three parcels of land are described as follows:
The alley between Bishop and Camp Streets, east of Walker
Street, and more particularly described as:
PARCEL 1: A fifteen foot wide alley reservation in
Block 4 as shown on a map of South Side Addition to
Cypress recorded May 19, 1906 in Book 4, Page 62 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California.
Said alley is bounded by a line 30 feet east of the
centerline of Graham Street and a line 80 feet
southwest of and measured at right angles to the
centerline of the Los Angeles Inter -Urban Railway
right of way as shown on said aforementioned map.
PARCEL 2. A fifteen foot wide and variable width
alley reservation in Block 5 as shown on a map of
South Side Addition to Cypress recorded May 19,
1906 in Book 4, Page 62 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California. Said alley is
bounded by a line 30 feet west of the centerline of
Graham Street and the southerly prolongation of the
west line of Lot 1 of said Block 5.
The alley between Nelson and Newman Streets, east of Graham
and more particularly described as:
A fifteen foot wide alley reservation in Block 10
as shown on a map of South Side Addition to Cypress
recorded May 19, 1906 in Book 4, Page 62,
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California. Said alley is bounded by a line 30
feet east of the centerline of Graham Street and
the southerly prolongation of the east line of
Lot 6 of said Book 10.
SECTION 4. A detailed map of said alleys is on file in the
office of the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works and the
attention of anyone interested for additional particulars is directed
to these persons.
SECTION 5. The hearing on the proposed abandonment is hereby
fixed at the regular meeting place of the City Council, to wit:
Cypress County Water District Board Office, Walker and Orange Streets,
Cypress, California, at the hour of 8:00 P. M., on February 10th,
1964, and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation are invited and directed to be present at said meeting.
SECTION .6. The City Manager is directed to cause notices to
be posed conspicuously along the line of the street or alley proposed
to be vacated at least ten (10) days before the date set for said
hearing. Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred
feet (300') apart, but at least three (3) of such notices shall be
posted on each of said alleys or streets. Such notices shall state
the passage of this resolution of intention and the time and place of
the hearing.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress this 23rd day
of December, 1963.
