Resolution No. 548RESOLUTION NO. 548 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS RECOGNIZING THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES AS A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED ORGANIZATION DEVOTED TO THE STUDY OF LOCAL MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT AND APPROVING THE 1964 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM TRAFFIC ORDINANCE FOR CALIFORNIA CITIES ADOPTED AND PUBLISHED BY THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Cypress as follows: WHEREAS, the League of California Cities is a private organization that has for the past 66 years directed its efforts to the study and improvement of municipal government and has assisted cities with advice, guidance and counsel on matters directly affecting cities, and WHEREAS, the League as a service to cities has adopted and published a Uniform Traffic Ordinance which contains the rules and regulations required by cities for the local regulation of traffic upon the streets of a city; NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that this Council hereby recognizes the League of California Cities as a nationally recognized authority on the government and traffic regulations of cities; and hereby approves the • 1964 Edition of the Uniform Traffic Ordinance as published by the League on the 12th day of October, 1964.
