RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
EXCLUDING THAT PROPERTY GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS NORTH
OF ORANGE AVENUE BETWEEN DENNI STREET AND VALLEY VIEW
STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF CYPRESS FROM THE CYPRESS
LIGHTING DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the property generally described as north of Ornage Avenue
lying between Denni Street and Valley View Street was annexed to the City of
Cypress July, 1956, and
WHEREAS, said territory is now entirely within the City of Cypress and
can best be served by the City of Cypress Lighting District No. 2
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the portion of Cypress Lighting District of Orange
County within the area described in Exhibit "A" attached to this resolution,
is now within the City of Cypress by reason of annexation to the City of
Cypress.
SECTION 2: It is hereby declared that such territory described in
Exhibit "A ", generally referred to as the territory north of Orange Avenue
between Denni Street and Valley View Street within the City of Cypress, is
hereby excluded from Cypress Lighting District of Orange County.
SECTION 3: It is hereby requested that all property acquired for such
district and all encumbered funds be divided between the City of Cypress
Lighting District No. 2 and the Cypress Lighting District of Orange County
in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 4: That the City Clerk is hereby directed to send a certified copy
of this resolution including Exhibit "A" and a map of said territory to the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, the County Assessor of the
County of Orange, and the State Board of Equalization.
SECTION 5: The property to be excluded from such district is
described in Exhibit "A ", which is attached hereto and made a part of this
resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, at a
regular meeting held on the 26th day of April, 1965.
