RESOLUTION NO. 2875
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS,
COUNTY OF ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, TO SUMMARILY VACATE
A PORTION OF INTERNATIONAL AVENUE
WHEREAS, Tentative Parcel Map 84-1109 was filed on February 13, 1984, designating
a portion of International Avenue to be vacated; and,
WHEREAS, the design of International Avenue as depicted on Tentative Parcel Map
84-1109 reflects the relocation of certain roadway, maintaining substantially equiva-
lent access to and across all parcels subject to such Parcel Map; and,
WHEREAS, there are no other public facilities located within the portion of
International Avenue to be vacated within the meaning of Section 8333(c) of the
California Streets and Highways Code; and,
WHEREAS, the Cypress City Council,Acting as the Planning Agency, by Resolution
No. 2874 adopted February 11, 1985, reviewed and reported that said vacation would be
in conformance with the City's adopted General Plan, pursuant to Section 8313(a) of the
California Streets and Highways Code; and,
WHEREAS, that portion of International Avenue to be vacated is specifically shown
and designated as "International Avenue (Abandoned)," on Parcel Map 84-1109 recorded
May 29, 1984 in Book 188, Page 22 of Parcel Maps, Records of Orange County, California;
and,
WHEREAS, the vacated portion of International Avenue no longer will be needed for
the public health, safety, or welfare, since access to the area will be maintained by
construction of "Meridian Drive," approximately 265 feet westerly. Said Meridian Drive
is also shown on recorded Parcel Map 84-1109.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, ORDERED, AND DETERMINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, COUNTY OF ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council finds and determines that each of the statements
set forth in the recitals herein is true and correct.
2. That the above-described portion of International Avenue is hereby
declared vacated pursuant to Section 8330 et Rts., of the California
Streets and Highways Code.
3. That this Resolution shall be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange County, from and after the date of such recordation
the above-described portion of International Avenue shall no longer
constitute a street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular meeting
held on the 11th day of February, 1985.
