The existing drainage during a major storm is in a westerly direction to Bolsa Chica Channel. An existing ditch on the north side of Orangewood Avenue collects a portion of this runoff and carries it westerly to the channel. SCOPE OF PROJECT As this area develops, facilities should be constructed to collect storm water runoff before street capacities are exceeded. These facilities should convey this drainage to the proposed Orange County Flood Control District facility (CO2 P01) presently being planned and projected for early completion by the District. This facility will extend in Orangewood Avenue from the Bolsa Chica Channel to approximately 1320 feet west of Valley View Street. FACILITIES TO BE CONSTRUCTED Eastward from the terminus of Orange County Drainage facility CO2 P01 to the east side of Valley View Street in Orangewood Avenue, construct approximately 1407 feet of 90 inch reinforced concrete pipe. From this point eastconstruct approximately 2110 feet of 66 inch reinforced concrete pipe. From this point east in Orangewood Avenue, construct approximately 1865 feet of 45 inch reinforced concrete pipe. Approximately 16 catch basins should be constructed to collect the drainage at Orangewood Avenue and to carry it through laterals to the proposed underground conduit.
