A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
AUTHORIZING PURCHASES OF CERTAIN ITEMS TO BE MADE FOR
THE CITY BY THE PURCHASING AGENT OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
WHEREAS, it is permissible under Sections 51201, et. seq. of the
Government Code of the State of California to contract with the County to
perform certain functions for the City; and
WHEREAS, it appears that it is possible to acquire certain items
consistent with the City's centralized purchasing system at a substantially
lower cost by having them purchased by the County; and
WHEREAS, it is, therefore, the desire of the City Council to contract with
the County for the County Purchasing Agent to purchase certain items for the
City under the following conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Cypress hereby agrees
with the County of Orange that the Purchasing Agent for the County shall
purchase for the City at the request of the City Manager of the City of Cypress
traffic paint, weed oil, road and traffic signs and such other items regularly
purchased by the County as may be designated from time to time by the City
Manager.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby agrees to pay the expenses
and costs incurred by the County in performing the services for the City
within 15 days after being billed for the same, provided such expenses and
costs incurred in any month are billed to the City prior to the end of the
following month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon the approval of the terms of this
resolution by the Board of Supervisors, it shall constitute a contract
between the City and the County, which said contract shall expire on
June 30, 1967.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, at a
regular meeting held on the 27th day of June, 1966.
