RESOLUTION NO. 716
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, COUNTY OF ORANGE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, LEVYING ASSESSMENTS ON PARCELS OF
LAND LOCATED IN THAT AREA KNOWN AS CITY OF CYPRESS
LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 2 TO PAY FOR THE COST OF THE
INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE AND FURNISHING OF ELECTRIC CURRENT
TO LIGHT SAID STREET LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR THE PERIOD FROM
JANUARY 1, 1967 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1967, PURSUANT TO THE
REPORTS OF THE CITY ENGINEER OF SAID CITY ALL IN ACCORD WITH
AND PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF DIVISION 14, PART 1,
STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS AMENDED,
REFERRED TO AS THE "STREET LIGHTING ACT OF 1919"
WHEREAS, the City of Cypress, California did by Resolution of said
Council order the installation of,maintenance of, and furnishing of electric
current for the lighting of a street lighting system on certain public
streets within said City, and the levy of assessments on lands within the
districtthereby benefited, said district being that area within the district
thereby benefited, said district being that area defined and described in the
written reports of the City Engineer, said reports referred to and thereby
made a part of said Resolutions, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress is required to levy an
assessment on the parcels of property located within said lighting districts
to pay for said improvement for the period from January 1, 1967 through
December 31, 1967, pursuant to the Street Lighting Act of 1919,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT I5 HEREBY RESOLVED, ORDERED AND DETERMINED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, COUNTY OF ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That said Council does hereby approve, confirm and adopt
the diagram and assessment of the City Engineer of said City, a copy of
which diagram and assessment are on file in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby ordered to
transmit, or cause to be transmitted to the County Auditor of the County
of Orange, State of California, as contemplated under the provisions of
said Street Lighting Act of 1919, said diagram and assessment upon which
sadi levy is based, and the County Tax Collector of said County (who is
also the City Tax Collector for said City) is hereby designated, requested,
impowered, authorized, instructed, ordered and directed to make collection
of all assessments shown in said assessment and to perform the acts and
duties f are required by law of, and to be performed by the officer, employee
or person destnated.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution and the same shall thereupon take effect and
be in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, at a
regular meeting held on the 8th day of August, 1966.
