RESOLUTION NO. 730
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN
ALLEY SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS AND
ELECTING TO PROCEED UNDER THE STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,
DETERMINE, ORDER, AND FIND AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Cypress to order the vacation of the following described alley subject
to the reservation of the following described easement:
The east -west alley between Electric and Walker Streets, more
particularly described as follows:
That portion of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 9, Township 4 South, Range 11 West,
S.B.B. S M. located in the City of Cypress, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows:
That certain alley 15 feet wide between Lots 1, 3, 5, and 7,
in Block 1, as said alley is shown on Map of Cypress, in
Book 4, Page 35 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California.
Reserving therefrom a 15 -foot easement for public utility
purposes over, on, and through said alley.
SECTION 2. City elects toproceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941.
SECTION 3. The time and place for hearing all persons interested in
or objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby fixed at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
at the regular meeting place of said City Council at the Board Room of the
Cypress County Water District, 9471 South Walker Street, Cypress, California,
on November 14, 1966.
SECTION 4. A detailed map of the said alley and said easement is on
file in the offices of the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works of
the City of Cypress, and the attention of anyone interested in additional
particulars is directed to these persons.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to cause notices to be posted
conspicuously along the line of the alley to be vacated at least ten (10)
days before the date set for said hearing. Said notices shall be posted
not more than three hundred feet(300') apart, but at least three (3) of
such notices shall be posted on the alley. Said notices shall state the
passage of this Resolution and the time and place of the hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, at a
regular meeting held on the 24th day of October, 1966.
