RESOLUTION NO. 735
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF ORANGE AVENUE AND ELECTING TO PROCEED UNDER
THE STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE,
ORDER, AND FIND AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Cypress to order the vacation of the following portion of a street:
A 20 -foot strip of land on the south side of Orange Avenue,
East of Walker Street, and more particularly described as follows:
The southerly 20.00 feet of the northerly 62.00 feet of
the easterly 85.00 feet of the northerly 240.00 feet of
the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 16, Township
4 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, City
of Cypress, County of Orange, State of California, as
per map recorded in Book 51, page 11 of Miscellaneous
Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said County.
SECTION 2. City elects to proceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941.
SECTION 3. The time and place for hearing all persons interested in
or objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby fixed at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
at the regular meeting place of said City Council at the Board Room of the
Cypress County Water District, 9471 South Walker Street, Cypress, California,
on December 12, 1966.
SECTION 4. A detailed map of the portion of said street is on file
in the offices of the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works of the
City of Cypress, and the attention of anyone interested in additional
particulars is directed to these persons.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to cause notices to be posted
conspicuously along the line of the portion of the street to be vacated
at least ten (10) days before the date set for said hearing. Said notices
shall be posted not more than three hundred feet (300') apart, but at least
three (3) of such notices shall be posted on the street. Said notices shall
state the passage of this Resolution and the time and place of the hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, at a
regular meeting held on the 14th day of November, 1966.
