A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CYPRESS APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 82-12 -
WITH CONDITIONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIIE CITY OF CYPRESS HEREBY FINDS, RESOLVES,
DETERMINES, AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That an Application was filed for a conditional use permit in
accordance with the provisions of Section 17.2 of the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Cypress to establish an exercise dance studio and nutrition
counseling center at 9191 Valley View Street.
2. That the City Council, after proper notice thereof, duly held a
public hearing on said Application as provided by law.
3. That the City Council hereby finds that:
a. The proposed location of the conditional use is in accord
with the objectives of the Zoning Ordinance and the purpose of the
zone in which the site is located is:
To allow diversification of specified land uses as they
relate to each other in a physical and environmental
arrangement, while insuring substantial compliance with
the overall goals of the City as identified in the various
elements of the General Plan.
b. The proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions
under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental
to the public health, safety or welfare or be materially injurious to
properties or improvements in the vicinity in that:
(1) Conditions have been attached to this conditional use
permit which permit the City Council to limit the
business hours of operation should said business
operation become detrimental to other business owners
within the Lakeshore Plaza Shopping Center.
c. The proposed conditional use will comply with each of the
applicable provisions of the Zoning Ordinance except for approved
variances or adjustments.
4. The City Council DOES HEREBY GRANT said conditional use permit,
subject to the following conditions:
a. The business hours of operation shall be subject to the
approval of the Cypress City Council. Said hours of
operation may be limited by the City Council should it
determine that the business is creating bothersome noise
or parking problems to the other shopping center tenants,
or the surrounding community, or, that the business is
conducted in a manner detrimental to the public health,
safety, or welfare or materially injurious to properties
or improvements in the vicinity.
b. The applicant shall meet all applicable requirements of
the City Code, the Orange County Fire Marshal's Office,
and the Cypress Building Department. All necessary
building, signage and electrical permits shall be obtained.

regular meeting held on the 13th day of September 1982.
