RESOLUTION NO. 2645
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
COMMENDING BOY SCOUT NICHOLAS MICHAEL TESTA, III, ON
ACHIEVING THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT.
WHEREAS, 18 year old Nicholas Michael Testa, III, has been a resident
of Cypress for the past nine years and is a senior at Servite High School
in Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas began his scouting career at the age of seven in
1972 and is currently a member of Boy Scout Troop 671 where he has served
his troop as Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Librarian, Assistant
Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas has earned a total of 24 Merit Badges and among
his favorites are Veterinary Science, Electronics, and Environmental Science;
and
WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, Nicholas organized a crew of 11
boys and renovated a hiking trail in the San Bernardino National Forest; and
WHEREAS, a Court of Honor will be held on May 20, 1983, to recognize
Nicholas on earning the Eagle Scout Award; and
WHEREAS, the Cypress City Council is very proud to have a resident
of Nicholas' caliber as a member of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Cypress hereby commends BOY SCOUT NICHOLAS MICHAEL TESTA, III, on achieving
the rank of Eagle Scout and extends very Best Wishes for the future.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a
regular meeting held on the 9th day of May 1983.
