Consideration of an Application for Alcoholic Beverage License Transfer

Consideration of an Application for Alcoholic Beverage License Transfer

Consideration of Acceptance of Weed Abatement of Seasonal and Recurring
Weeds and Assessment for Weed and Rubbish Abatement for Phase II
for the 1981-82 Program.
Recommendation: That the City Council 1) Accept the work of weed and
rubbish abatement as being satisfactorily completed in accordance with
the specifications for the work, and 2) Adopt the Resolution by title
only, title as follows, confirming weed abatement assessments and
imposing special assessments as a lien on the parcels shown on
Exhibit "A".

Recommendation: That the Mayor and City Council officially proclaim
the 21 days from Flag Day, June 14, through Independence Day, July 4,
as a period to "Honor America" in the City of Cypress.

Consideration of Authorization to Attend the 3rd Annual Mayors and
Council Members Executive Forum on July 7 ' 9, 1982, in Monterey,
California.
Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the attendance of any
interested Council Member to the 3rd annual League of California Cities'
Mayors and Council Members Executive Forum to be held on July 7 - 9,
1982, in Monterey, California, and be reimbursed for all actual and
necessary expenses incurred.
8. Consideration of Request for Extension of Conditional Use Permit No.
81-16 (ABC Animal Hospital, 9121 Walker Street).
Recommendation: That the City Council grant a one year extension to
Conditional Use Permit No. 81-16, whereby said use permit will expire
on June 22, 1983.
9. Consideration of Communication From the Association of Cypress Teachers.
Recommendation: That the City Council approve an extension of the office
space sublease with the Association of Cypress Teachers at the Oxford
Junior High School site from May 31, 1982 to June 25, 1982.
Consideration of Communication From the City of Brea Requesting the
City Council to Oppose the Chino Hills Airport Site.
Recommendation: That the City Council reaffirm the City's position
of opposing the Chino Hills airport site and authorize the Mayor
to transmit a letter to the Mayor of Brea indicating the City Council's
continued opposition to this site.
Consideration of a Resolution of Intention to Approve an Amendment to
the Contract Between the Board of Administration of the Public
Employees' Retirement System and the City Council of the City of
Cypress.
Recommendation: That the City Council adopt the Resolution by title only,
title as follows, declaring its intention to approve the amendment to
the retirement system for miscellaneous employees.

Contract Between the Board of Administration of the
Public Employees' Retirement System and the City Council
of the City of Cypress.

Recommendation: That the City Council certify the employment list for
the position of Jailor/Property Clerk as submitted.
Consideration of Appropriation for Air Conditioning at the Police Squad
Room at Oxford Junior High School, City of Cypress Project #8202-90.
Recommendation: That the City Council appropriate $3,300.00 from the
General Fund to Account #469 - Air Conditioning Police - Oxford.
Consideration of Appropriation for Installing Electric Receptacles at
Oxford Junior High School, City of Cypress Project #8202-90.
Recommendation: That the City Council appropriate $5,300.00 from the
General Fund to Account #10-4186-466.24.

consideration of State Legislature's Attempt to Balance the 1982-83
Budget by Cutting or Eliminating State Subventions to Local Govern-
ments.
Recommendation: That the City Council direct staff to send letters
for the Mayor's signature to appropriate officials expressing the
City's opposition to cutting or eliminating State subventions to
local governments.
16. Consideration of Claim Submitted by Cypress College for Repair to
Sign Damaged in Automobile Accident on March 17, 1982.
Recommendation: That the City Council authorize the City's Claim
Adjuster, Carl Warren & Co., to settle this claim with Cypress
College in the amount of $2,876.00.
17. Consideration of Proclaiming June 1982, as "Recreation and Parks
Month" in Cypress.
Recommendation: That the Mayor and City Council officially proclaim
the month of June 1982, as "Recreation and Parks Month" in the
City of Cypress.
18.
Consideration of an Amendment to the Agreement Between the City of
Cypress and the City of Garden Grove for Nutrition Services for
Senior Citizens.
Recommendation: That the City Council approve the amendment to the
agreement between the City of Cypress and the City of Garden Grove
to provide nutrition services for the period of July 1, 1982 to
June 30, 1983, and authorize the Mayor to sign and the City Clerk
to attest the subject amendment, subject to approval as to form
by the City Attorney.
Recreation and Park District Matters:
19. Consideration of Resolution in Support of the Orange County Arts Alliance
Master Plan.
Recommendation: That the City Council, acting as the ex-officio governing
Board of Directors for the Cypress Recreation and Park District, adopt
the Resolution by title only, title as follows, as recommended by
the Recreation and Community Services Commission.
20.
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Cypress,
Acting as the Ex-officio Governing Board of Directors
of the Cypress Recreation and Park District, a Subsidiary
District of the City of Cypress, Supporting the California
Arts Council State/Local Partnership Program That Will
Provide Funds for Community-wide Cultural Development.
Consideration of Allocation of Funding for Revenue Sharing Project for
the City's Nature Park.
Recommendation: That the City Council, acting as the ex-officio governing
Board of Directors for the Cypress Recreation and Park District, approve
the Nature Park improvement project allocation of $2,200 from the City's
General Fund to be used as matching funds for the County Revenue Sharing
project, and authorize the Mayor to sign the subject agreement with the
County of Orange and the City Clerk to attest, subject to the approval
of the City Attorney as to the form of the agreement.
