Resolution No. 1787374. RESOLUTION NO. 1787 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 76-1 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress held a series of public hearings between July 6, 1976 and November 8, 1976, in the City Council Chambers at 5275 Orange Avenue, Cypress, California to consider General Plan Amendment No. 76-1 which provides for the establishment of various land uses in the area generally bounded by Knott Avenue on the east, the Stanton Storm Channel on the south, Walker Street on the west and Cerritos Avenue and the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way on the north; and WHEREAS, the City Council considered evidence presented by City staff and consultants and other interested parties at the public hearings held on this item; and WHEREAS, the Council considered the recommendations of the Planning Commission which included a phased development program for the establishment of mixed land uses on the subject property; and WHEREAS, the City Council considered the results of a popular vote by the citizens of the community which vote indicated rejection of the mixed land use plan as approved by the Planning Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cypress does hereby deny General Plan Amendment No. 76-1.
