A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF THE
FIRST ALLEY WEST OF WALKER STREET EXTENDING FROM LINCOLN
AVENUE TO PHILO STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE,
ORDER, AND FIND AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intention of the City Council of Cypress to order the
vacation of the following alley.
DESCRIPTION:
That portion of the first alley west of Walker Street from Lincoln Avenue
to Philo Street, more particularly described as follows:
A portion of Cypress Tract, Block 1, shown as a 15 foot alley as per
map recorded in Book 4, Page 35 of Miscellaneous Maps of Records of
County of Orange, the westerly line of said 15 foot alley is described
as follows:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot 11 of said Cypress
Tract, being a corner on the southerly right-of-way line of Philo
Street as shown on said Cypress Tract and also a point on the
westerly line of said 15 foot alley; thence southerly along said
westerly line 260 feet plus or minus to the northerly right-of-way
line of Lincoln Avenue as shown on said Cypress Tract.
SECTION 2. City elects to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vaca-
tion Act of 1941.
SECTION 3. The time and place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby fixed at the hour of 8:00 p.m.
at the regular meeting place of said City Council at 5275 Orange Avenue,
Cypress, California, on January 24, 1977.
SECTION 4. A detailed map of the portion of said alley and said easement
is on file in the offices of the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works
of the City of Cypress, and the attention of anyone interested in additional
particulars is directed to these persons.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to cause notices to be posted
conspicuously along the line of the portion of the alley to be vacated at least
ten (10) days before the date set for said hearing. Said notices shall he
posted not more than three hundred feet (300') apart, but at least three (3)
of such notices shall be posted on the alley. Said notices shall state the
passage of this Resolution and the time and place of the hearing. Said notices
shall also be posted at the three public places prescribed for the posting of
City ordinances.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress, at a regular
meeting held on the 13th day of December, 1976.
