A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
APPLYING VARIOUS PROVISIONS OF THE VEHICLE CODE OF THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO A CERTAIN PRIVATELY OWNED AND
MAINTAINED ROAD
WHEREAS, on November 1, 1971, a petition requesting the City of Cypress to
adopt a Resolution finding and declaring that a certain privately owned and maintained
road, described in said petition and on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof by this reference, within the City of Cypress, is not generally held open for
use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel but, by reason of its proximity
to or connection with public highways, the interests of the residents residing along
said road and of the motoring public will best be served by application of the pro-
visions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California to said road, was submitted
to the City Clerk of the City of Cypress; and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by all of the owners of said privately owned
and maintained road; and
WHEREAS, all of said owners waived the ten-day prior written notice requirement
set forth in Vehicle Code §21107.7 and agreed to erect the appropriate sign required
by said section at the entrance to the road; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing thereon was held by this City Council on February 14,
1972, pursuant co the provisions of §21107.7 of the Vehicle Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cypress hereby does declare,
find and resolve that the privately owned and maintained road described in Exhibit "A"
ie net generally held open for use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel
but, by reason of its proximity to or connection with highways, the interests of the
residents residing along said road and of the motoring public will best be served
by application of the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California to
said road, and that said provisions of the Vehicle Code shall apply to said road,
provided said owners erect appropriate signs at the entrance to said road, said signs
to be of such size, shape and color as to be readily legible during daylight hours
from a distance of 100 feet and to contain a statement to the effect that the toad
is subject to said provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular
meeting held on the 14th day of February, 1972.. s

purposes described as Parcel 1 in a deed to the City of Cypress recorded
December 23, 1970 in Book 9498, Pages 942-946 of Official Records lying
within the boundaries of the following described parcel:
Beginning at the southeast corner of the northeast quarter of the
northwest quarter of Section 17, Township 4 South, Range 11 West, in the
Rancho Los Coyotes, City of Cypress, County of Orange, State of California,
as per map recorded in Book 51, Page 11 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office
of the County Recorder of said county; thence North 0° 22' 12" West 371.00
feet along the easterly line of the northeast quarter of the northwest
