Resolution No. 141RESOLUTION NO. 141 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, COUNTY OF MANGE, STATE OF CALIFCRNIA, APPOINTING A TINE AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS IN RELATION TO THE PROPOSED DARR0VEMENT AND STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT FORMATION REFERRED TO IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 140 AND DIRECTING THE CITY CIERK OF SAID CITY OF CYPRESS, CALIFORNIA, TO GIVE NUrICE OF SAID HEARING. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cypress, County of Orange. State of California, did in Resolution No. 138 of said Council, adopted December 19, 1960, pursuant to the provisions of Division 14, Part 1, Streets and Highways Code, State of California, as amended, hereinafter referred to as the "Street Lighting Act of 1919" require the City Engineer of said City to make and file with the City Clerk of said City a written report presenting certain matters relating to a proposed installation and maintenance of a Street Lighting System, and WHEREAS, the City Engineer, pursuant to the requirements of said City Council expressed in Resolution No. 138 and said Street Lighting Act of 1919, did make and file in the office of the City Clerk, of the City of Cypress, Calif- ornia, his written report relating the proposed installation of a Street Lighting System, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the said City has proceeded to care- fully examine, inspect and consider said report, and has afforded all pereous interested an opportunity to be beard with reference thereto and is satisfied with said report and with each and all of the various items thereof and the matters therein set forth, and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City did in Resolution No. 139 approve said report on the Ninth day of January, 1961, in conformity with the pro- vision of the Street Lighting Act of 1919, and WHEREAS, after the approval of said report, and in conformity with the provision of said Lighting Act of 1919, said City Council did duly and reg- ularly adopt it as Resolution of Intention No. 140 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, COUNTY OF MANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DE. GLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER A STREET LIGHTING SYSTEM ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE SAID CITY OF CYPRESS TO BE INSTALLED, MAINTAINED AND ELECTRIC CURRENT BE FURNISHED TO LIGHT SAID SYSTEM FGR A FERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS BEGINNING FEBRUARY 15, 1961," and WHEREAS, it now becomes the duty of this Council to appoint a time or place for hearing protests in relation to the proposed improvement referred to in said Resolution of Intention No. 140 and to direct the giving of notice of said hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, ORDERED AND DETERMINED by the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Cypress, County of Orange, State of California, as follows: SECTION 1. That Monday, the Thirtieth day of January, 1961, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., of said day, be and the same is hereby appointed as the time, and the City Hall in the said City of Cypress, California, is hereby appointed as tho place for hearing protests in reference to the said proposed improvement. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of said City of Cypress, is hereby authorized, designated and directed to give notice of said hearing in time, form and manner as required by the Street Lighting Act of 1919. SECTION 3. City Council of the City of Cypress hereby declares That there is no da'.^ Gr weekly newspaper published and circulated in the City of Cyprocs. TIL City Clark of the Cit;v of Cypress is hereby directed to publish notice of said hearing for four days in three public places in the City of Cypress, pursuant to Section 13013 of the Street Lighting Act of 1919. RESOLUTION NO, 141 PACE 2 HEARING PROTESTS SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and the same shall thereupon take effect and be in force.
