A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, DECLARING CERTAIN
STREETS WITHIN SAID CITY OF CYPRESS TO BE MAJOR CITY STREETS OTHER THAN
STATE HIGHWAYS.
k'AEREAS, the provisions of Section 2050 to 2055, Chapter 2, Division
3 of the Streets and Highways Code provides that each City Council shall
select a system of major city streets, on the basis of greatest general
city importance, subject to the approval of the State Department of Public
Works; and,
WHEREAS, streets may be included in or excluded from the city system
of major city streets subject to the approval in each case of the State
Department of Public Works; and,
WHEREAS, it is desired to revise the existing system to conform t
present and anticipated traffic patterns.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is further resolved by the City Council of the
City of Cypress that the following named streets are selected as major
city streets to be included in the major city street system:
DENNI STREET from a point 330' so, of Lincoln to Ball Road
MOODY STREET from a point 660' so. of Lincoln to Cerritos Ave.
VALLEY VIEW from Cerritos Avenue to a point 1320' south of Orangewood.
HOLDER STREET from a point 1320 so. of Lincoln to Ball Road.
ORANGE AVENUE from Bloomfield Street to Holder Street.
KATELLA AVENUE from a point 2640' west of Valley View to Knott Ave,
ORANGEWOOD AVENUE from Valley View to Knott Ave.
RESOLVED, further, that the State of California, Department of Public
Works, is hereby requested to approve the above revision to the major
city street system.
AND FURTHER that all prior resolutions, or portions thereof, establish-
ing major city streets in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed,
