CITY OF DAIRY CT= OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED TEr3RITORY DESCRIBED
HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "OOSTEN ANNEXATION NO. 1," INITIATED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DAIRY CITY, AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME
AND PLACE FOR. HEATING OF PROTESTS THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California,
has approved the description of certain real property as herein set
out for the purpose of annexation; now,
WHEREAS, the City Council, after study, has determined that
the territory herein below described should be annexed to the City
of Dairy City and that the -proceedings should be initiated by the
City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Dairy City hereby declares its intention to annex all of
said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said terri-
tory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered
voters residing in it on November 13, 1956, the date when this Reso-
lution is adopted, that said territory is contiguous to the City of
Dairy City, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described

Beginning at the point of intersection of the existing;
boundary of Dairy City with the West line of the
Southeast Quarter (SE) of Section 21, Township 4 South,
Range 11 West, San Bernardino Meridian, in the County
of Orange, State of California; thence Southerly, along
said lest line and the West line of the Northeast Quarter
(NES) of Section 28, said Township and Range, to the North
line of the South 495 feet of the Northwest Quarter (NWT)
of the Northeast Quarter C:E4) of said Section 28; thence
Easterly, along: said North line, to the East line of the
West half (W) of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of said
Section 28; thence along said East line and its Southerly
prolongation, to the South right-of-way line of Orangewood
Avenue (40.00 feet wide); thence Westerly, along said
right-of-way line to the East line of the West half (Wi)
of the NorthwestQuarter (NW) of the Southeast Quarter
(SE4) of said Section 28; thence Southerly, along said
East line, to the South line of the North 440 feet of
the West half (Wi) of the Northwest :)uarter (NW4) of the
Southeast Quarter (SE.) of said Section 28; thence Westerly,
along said South line, to the East line of the Northeast
Quarter (NE4) of the Southwest quarter (Sw4) of said
Section 28; thence Southerly, along said East line, to the
North line of the South half (Si) of the Southeast Quarter
(SE4) of said Section 28; thence Easterly, along said

North line and the North line of the South half (Si) of the
South half (SI-) of Section 27 of said Township and Range,
to the v4esterly right-of-way line of Knott Avenue (60.00
feet wide); thence Northerly, along said Westerly right-of-
way line, to the common boundary line between Rancho Los
Coyotes and Rancho Los Llamitos; thence Northwesterly, along
said common boundary line, to the South ri,ht-of-way line of
the Southern Pacific Railroad Company right-of-way (60.00
feet wide); thence Westerly, along said right-of-way line,
to the point of beginning.
That said Council hereby desinates "Oosten Annexation No. 1"
as an apropriate name for said annexation.
That the City Council hereby declares that th proceedings for
annexation of said territory have been and are initiated by the City
Council of the City of Dairy City and that the reasons for desirin ,
the annexation of said territory are as follows:
That a majority of the owners of the land covered by said pro-
posed annexation have requested that said territory be annexed to
the City of Dairy City so that the same may be used in conjunction
with the area presently within the City of Dairy City; that said
owners desire the benefits, services, protection and other concom-
itants which will result from annexation of said territory to the
Cit of Dairy City; that said territory is of a similar type and is
Put to a similar use as the other areas presently within the City
of Dairy City.
NOTICE IS HE'EBY GIVE: that Deceuher 27, 1956, at the hour
of 7:30 P.M., in the City Hall, at 9352 Wacker Street, in the City
of Dairy City, Caliornia, is the time and place fixed at which said
Council will hear protests made by any person ownin.: reel property
within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At any time before
said hour, any owner of any of said property may file written protest
aa.inst this Proposed annexation. Such protest should state the
owner's name, and in gen_ral terms, a description and area of the
property owned.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Dairy
City at its regular meeting held on the 13th day of" November, 1956.
