Resolution No. 20RESOLUTION NO. 20 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITE: OF DAIRY CITY, GIVING WEED ABATEMENT NOTICE. Upon motion of Councilman Arnold , duly seconded and carried, the following Resolution was adopted: WHEREAS, there are (a) Weeds which bear seeds of a downy or wingy nature; (b) Weeds which attain such large growth as to become, when dry, a fire menace to adjacent improved property; and (c) Weeds which are otherwise noxious or dangerous growing upon streets, sidewalks and/or private property, which streets, highways and private property, are hereinafter described in detail; WHEREAS, said hereinafter described private property fronts or abuts, or is nearest to the street, highway or road set opposite said private property, as hereinafter described; WHEREAS, said weeds are and are hereby declared a public nuisance; WHEREAS, said nuisance is seasonal and recurrent and is hereby declared to be such; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That all weeds which bear seeds of a downy or wingy nature; weeds which attain such large growth as to become, when dry, a fire menace to adjacent improved property; and weeds which are otherwise noxious or dangerous, growing upon the private pro- perty hereinafter described in detail are and are hereby declared a public nuisance. 2. That all weeds which bear seeds of a downy or wingy nature, weeds which attain such large r,rowth as to become, when dry, a fire menace to adjacent improved property, and weeds which are otherwise noxious or dangerous, growing upon the streets, high- ways, or roads or sidewalks fronting, abutting the private property -20- Resolution No. 20 hereinafter described in detail are and are hereby declared a public nuisance. 3. That all such weeds, growing upon the street, highway, road or sidewalk, or private property, are a public nuisance and are of a seasonal and recurrent nature and are so declared. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that J. A. Scherman, County Fire Warden, be and he is hereby designated the person to give notice to destroy such weeds in the corm prescribed by Section 39560. of the Government Code of the State of California; said notice to be given and posted for at least five days prior to May 27, 1957, upon which date, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., thereof, in the Chambers of the City Council, in the City Hall, in Dairy City, Orange County, California, all objections and protests will be heard and considered by said Council. Thereupon, or at its conclusion thereof, jurisdiction will be acquired and said Council will proceed to perform the work of removal of said weeds, and the cost thereof will be assessed against said private property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the private property herein referred to, the street, highway, or road upon which said private property fronts or abuts, or nearest to which it is located, set opposite said private property, are described as follows, to wit: according to the attached list of names. -20A- Resolution No. 20 ADOPTED THIS 13th DAY OF , 1957, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Arnold, Arrowood, Baroldi, Van Dyke, and Van Leeuwen NOES: None ABSENT: None 4ke, 2‘.
