RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO
CITY OF CYPRESS OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED
HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "CORREIA ANNEXATION, NO. 4 ",
AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF
PROTESTS THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners
of not less than one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter des-
cribed territory, by area and b, assessed value as shown on
the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange, was
filed with the Council of the City of Cypress requesting annex-
ation of the hereinafter described territory to said City.
2. That the territory which the petitioners request be
annexed to the City of Cypress and which said City and its
Council propose to annex, is situate in the County of Orange,
Slate of California, hereby designated "Correia Annexation, No.
4 " and described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the
existing boundary of the City of Cypress and the
westerly prolongation of the north line of the
south 15.00 acres of the west half (4 1/2) of
the northwest quarter (NW 1/4) of the northeast
quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 17, Township 4 South,
Range 11 West, San Bernardino Meridian, in the
County of Orange, State of California, thence
easterly, along said westerly prolongation and
said north line, to the east line of said 15.00
acres; thence southerly, along said east line, to
the existing boundary of said City of Cypress;
thence westerly and northerly, along said exist-
ing boundary to the point of beginning.
Comprising 15.50 acres, more or less.
3. That the County Boundary Commission of Orange County,
California, approved the proposed annexation boundaries of said
"Correia Annexation, No. 4 " as above described, and as
submitted to said Commission.
4. That Monday, December 9th, 1957, at the hour of 3:00
P.M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of

Cypress, County of Orange, California, is hereby fixed as the
time and place when and where any person owning real property
within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed
to be annexed to the City of Cypress, and having any objections
to the proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of
the City of Cypress and show cause why such uninhabited terri-
tory should not be so annexed to the City of Cypress. The pro-
test must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the
hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and
shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property
affected and the description and area of such property, in general
terms.
5. The City Clerk of the City of Cypress is hereby author-
ized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be posted
in at least three (3) conspicuous places within the territory
proposed to be annexed, said posting to be complete at least
twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
6. No notice need be sent pursuant to Government Code Sec-
tion 35311(a) and (b) because the owners of all the territory to
be annexed have petitioned or filed their consent to such annex-
ation in writing with the City Council.
7. In the event any land within the territory proposed to
be annexed is owned by a county, the City Clerk is directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to
the Board of Supervisors of such county, such notice to be given
not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on
the proposed annexation.
8. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be
annexed to said City, a structural improvement owned, being
acquired or leased by a county fire protection district, the City
Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annex-
ation to be mailed to the governing body of such district, such

notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days before the first
public hearing upon such proposed annexation.
9. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to
be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled there-
to, in the manner required by law.

vote:
