Resolution No. 50RESOLUTION NO. 50 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, CALLING AND PROVIDING FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE 8TH DAY OF APRIL, 1958. WHEREAS, Section 36503 of the Government Code requires that a general municipal election be held in general law cities on the second Tuesday in April of each even numbered year; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cypress, Californig, does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: Section 1. That said general municipal election be held and the same is hereby called to be held in the City of Cypress on April 8, 1958. Section 2. That the polls for said election shall be opened at seven o'clock A. M. of the day of said election and shall re- main open continuously from said time until seven o'clock P. M. of the same day, when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 5734 of the Elections Code of the State of California. Section 3. That for the purpose of holding said general municipal election there shall be and is hereby established one (1) voting precinct designated as hereinafter stated. Such voting precinct shall consist of the entire City of Cypress. That the polling place for the consolidated precinct shall be the place hereinafter designated. Consolidated Voting Precinct 1, comprising State and County precinct numbers Cypress 1, 2, and 3. Said single precinct is a consolidation of regular election precincts established for the holding of State and County elections, as they exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. The polling place shall be at the Cypress City Hall. Section 4. That except as otherwise provided in this re- solution, the election called hereby shall be held and conducted as provided by Chapter 2, Part 2, Division 11 of the Elections -50- Resolution No. 50 Code, and in all respects not otherwise provided for in said Chapter, said election shall be held and conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code governing elections generally, so far as they may be applicable. Section 5. That the compensation which shall be paid to each election officer and the rental to be paid to each owner as rental for each polling place is as follows: Inspector: 21.00 Judge: 18.00 Clerks: 18.00 Polling Place: Nona Section 6. That the City Council of said City shall meet at its usual place of meeting on April 15, 1958, at 7:30 o'clock P. M., of said day, and proceed to canvass the election returns and declare the result of said election. Section 7. That the City Clerk shall give the notices re- quired by law for the holding of said general municipal election. Section 8. This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.
