Resolution No. 68RESOLUTION NO. 68 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, CALLING AND PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL NUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE SIXTEENTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1958. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 67, adopted on the 21st day of July, 1958, the City Council has called for a special municipal election for the purposes set forth in said Resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cypress, California, does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: Section 1. That a special municipal election has been called by Resolution No. 67 to be held in the City of Cypress on. September 16, 1958. Section 2. That the poll for said election shall be opened at seven o'clock A. M. of the day of said election and shall re- main open continuously from said time until seven o'clock P. M. of the same day, when said poll shall be closed, except as pro- vided in the Elections Code of the State of California. Section 3. That for the purpose of holding said special municipal election there shall be and is hereby established one (1) voting precinct designated as hereinafter stated. Such voting precinct shall consist of the entire City of Cypress. That the polling place for the consolidated precinct shall be the place hereinafter designated. Consolidated Voting Precinct 1, comprising State and County precinct numbers Cypress 1, 2, and 3. Said single precinct is a consolidation of regular election precincts established for the holding of State and County elections, as they exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. The polling place shall be at the Cypress City Hall. Section 4. That except as otherwise provided in this reso- lution, said election shall be held and conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code governing elections -66- Resolution 66- Resolution No. 68 generally, so far as they may be applicable. Section 5. That the compensation which shall be paid to each election officer and the rental to be paid to each owner as rental for each polling place is as follows: Inspector: 421.00 Judge: 18.00 Clerks: 18.00 Polling Place: None Section 6. That the following persons be appointed to the positions designated on the Municipal Precinct Board for the Special Municipal Election to be held on September 16, 1958: Inspector: Mrs. James W. That the City Council of said City shall meet at its usual place of meeting on September 23, 1958, at 7:30 o'clock P. Iii., of said day, and proceed to canvass the election returns and declare the result of said election. Section 8. That the City Clerk shall give the notices re- quired by law for holding of said special municipal election. Section 9. This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.
