RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO CITY
OF CYPRESS OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN
AND DESIGNATED "DILLON ANNEXATION", AND GIVING NOTICE OF
TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners
of not less than one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter des-
cribed territory, by area and by assessed value as shown on the
last equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange, was
filed with the Council of the City of Cypress requesting annex-
ation of the hereinafter described territory to said City.
2. That the territory which the petitioners request be
annexed to the City of Cypress and which said City and its
Council propose to annex is situate in the County of Orange,
State of California, hereby designated "Dillon Annexation", and
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the
existing boundary of the City of Cypress with
the North line of the Southwest Quarter (SWA)
of the Southwest Quarter (SW) of the Northeast
Cuarter (NEk) of Section 15, Township 4 South,
Range 11 West, San Bernardino cieridian, in the
County of Orange, State of California, said
North line also being the existing boundary of
the City of Buena Park; thence Easterly, along
said North line, to the East line of the South-
west Quarter (SW}) of the S outhw s t Quarter
(SW .) of said Northeast Quarter �NE 2,); thence
Southerly, along said East line, -'to the South
line of the North 330.00 feet of the Southwest
Cuarter (SW-') of the Southwest Cuarter (SW)
of said Northeast Quarter (NES;.); thence Westerly,
along said South line, to the existing boundary
of said City of Cypress; thence Northerly, along
said existing boundary, to the point of beginning.
Comprising 5.0 acres, more or less.
3. That the County Boundary Commission of Orange County,
California approved the proposed annexation boundaries of said
"Dillon Lnnexation" as above described and as submitted to said
Commission.

4. That March 23, 1959, at the hour of 7:30 P.M., in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Cypress, County
of Orange, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place
when and where any person owning real property within the unin-
habited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to
the City of Cypress, and having any objections to the proposed
annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of Cypress
and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be so
annexed to the City of Cypress. The protest must be in writing,
may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objec-
tions to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or
names of the owner or owners of property affected and the des-
cription and area of such property, in general terms.
5. The City Clerk of the City of Cypress is hereby author-
ized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be
posted in at least three (3) conspicuous places within the terri-
tory proposed to be annexed, said posting to be complete at least
twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
6. The City Clerk is further authorized and directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to
each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll
available on the date the above said proceedings were initiated,
at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to the
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of the lands in which he has an interest, either
legal or equitable, with the Clerk, such notice to be given not
less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on
the proposed annexation.
7. In the event any land within the territory proposed to
be annexed is owned by a county, the City Clerk is directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to

the Board of Supervisors of such county, such notice to be given
not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing
on the proposed annexation.
8. In the event there is upon the land proposed to be
annexed to said City a structural improvement owned, being
acquired or leased by a county fire protection district, the
City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed
annexation to be mailed to the governing body of such proposed
district, such notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days
before the first public hearing upon such proposed annexation.
9. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to
be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled there-
to, in the manner required by law.
