A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, ENDORS-
ING THE PROGRAM OF THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES FOR STATE
HIGHWAY LEGISLATION
WHEREAS, the City of Cypress has sizeable street deficiencies
on all of its streets; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has studied the proposed legis-
lation of the League of California Cities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Cypress that said Council heartily endorses all legis-
lation as proposed by the League of California Cities in regard
to the improvement of city streets, and in particular the
proposed legislation which would increase the State gasoline
tax one cent (1¢) and allocate the increased revenue to cities
for construction expenditures on major city streets, the increased
revenue to be matched by local funds.
ADOPTED this 9th day of February, 1959, by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmen Arnold, Arrowood, McCarney,
and Van Dyke
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Baroldi
