A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
COMMENDING THE OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE CYPRESS
JUNIOR WOMEN'S CLUB.
WHEREAS, the Cypress Junior Women's Club, under the leadership of Club
President, Mrs. Patrick Howard, and Club Vice -President and Dean of Chairmen,
Mrs. Warren George, has been recognized as one of the most outstanding service
organizations in the community; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of these services the Cypress Junior Women's Club
was awarded First Place Awards at the Orange District Convention, California
Federation of Woman's Clubs, Junior Membership, in the following categories:
Bulletin, Education, Health, Chi Omega Phi Juniorettes, Sewing; and
WHEREAS, additionally the Cypress Junior Women's Club was recognized by
second Place Awards at the Orange District Convention in the categories of
Federation and Attendance; and
WHEREAS, additional recognition was given to the Cypress Junior Women's
Club by Special Awards given in the categories of International Affairs and
Youth; and
WHEREAS, the Cypress Junior Women's Club received a plaque award given
by the Veterinary Association for the Rabies Clinic, and received a certificate
from the March of Dimes for the Rubella Clinic; and
WHEREAS, these awards have brought special recognition not only to the
Cypress Junior Women's Club, but also to the City of Cypress.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cypress
that the City of Cypress commends the Cypress Junior Women's Club for out-
standing service to the community.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular
meeting held on the 24th day of May, 1971.
