Resolution No. 1447u 14. RESOLUTION NO. 1447 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 703 REGARDING HOLIDAYS FOR CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, the State Legislature has changed the Government Code, Section 6700, setting forth the days which shall be observed as State Holidays, and; WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Cypress to designate the same dates for certain City holidays. NOW, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cypress to amend Resolution No. 703, Section 24, to read as follows: City: "SECTION 24, Holidays. The following holidays shall be observed by the Januar• 1st February 12th Third Monday in February Last Monday in May July 4th First Monday in September September 9th November llth Fourth Thursday in November December 24th December 25th New Year's Day Lincoln's Birthday Washington's Birthday Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Admission Day Veteran's Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Eve Christmas Day Good Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Every day on which an election is held throughout the State. Holidays falling on Sunday will be observed on the following Monday. Holidays falling on Saturday shall be observed on the preceding Friday unless this too is a holiday, and then one day sooner." 4 This resolution rescinds all other resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith.
