Resolution No. 1525RESOLUTION NO. 1525 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS PROVIDING FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF THE CITY IN THE 911 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SYSTEM WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 515 requires the establishment of a 911 Emergency Telephone System prior to December 31, 1982; and WHEREAS, the county wide 911 Task Force has developed two alternative methods of implementing the 911 system known as Plan A and Plan B; and WHEREAS, the county wide 911 Task Force recommends the implemen- tation of the alternative Plan B by all city and county agencies within the County of Orange; and WHEREAS, each municipality providing emergency services to the public is required under Plan B to designate a Public Safety Answering Point for its jurisdiction; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS, THAT the City Council of the City of Cypress agrees to participate in the 911 Emergency Telephone System as outlined in Plan B developed by the 911 Task Force and establishes the Cypress Police Department, whatever its location at the time of required implementation of the 911 Emergency Telephone System, as the Public Safety Answering Point for the City of Cypress. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular meeting held on the 26th day of August, 1974.
