A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
ASSURING THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND'URBAN DEVELOPMENT
THAT IT HAS AND WILL CONTINUE TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVI-
SIONS OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF
1974
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of. Cypress to participate in a
joint application with the County of Orange for a grant authorized under
the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and,
WHEREAS, two public hearings have been held to outline the objectives
of the Act and to solicit citizen input on the housing and community develop-
ment needs of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the requirements of the Act with
particular reference to the need for compliance with the Assurances contained
therein; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the filing of a component
application for entitlement funds to be used for the installation of necessary
improvements in an older established neighborhood occupied by low and moderate
income families;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Cypress hereby:
1. Assures and certifies that the City of Cypress will comply with the
fiscal and accounting regulations, policies, guidelines and requirements of
the County of Orange as they relate to the acceptance and use of Federal
funds for this federally assisted program.

2. Assures and certifies that it has complied and will continue to
comply with all applicable requirements of the Housing and Community Development
Act of 1974 and does assure compliance with Items 1 through 8, 9A and 10 of
the Assurances, a copy of which is on file in the City Clerk's office.
3. Designates the City Manager as the authorized representative of the
City to act in connection with the application.
4. Authorizes the City Attorney to sign the necessary Legal Certifications.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a
regular meeting held on the 10th day of February, 1975.
