A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
SUPPORTING THE CANDIDACY OF MS. JOYCE B. GINNS TO
GOVERNOR BROWN'S STATE-WIDE ARTS ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Ms. Joyce B. Ginns has been a member of the Cypress Arts
and Cultural Commission since July 10, 1972; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Ginns is currently Vice -Chairman of the
Commission; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Ginns has exhibited hard working enthusiasm
for all projects that she has undertaken and her expertise on arts and
cultural matters have contributed greatly to the Arts program in the
Cypress community; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure on the Arts and Cultural Commission,
Ms. Ginns has initiated several community programs connected with
dance, music and drama; and
WHEREAS, in the past, Commissioner Ginns has been a member and
worker for the Long Beach Museum of Art; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Ginns has a genuine interest in the develop-
ment of the Arts program in the State of California and has expressed
an interest in serving on the proposed state-wide Arts Advisory Board;
and
WHEREAS, the Cypress City Council believes that Joyce Ginns would
be an asset to this body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Cypress hereby supports the candidacy of Ms. Joyce B. Ginns to
Governor Brown's state-wide Arts Advisory Board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a
regular meeting held on the 24th day of March, 1975.
