Resolution No. 18382 r n. .err e.•. RESOLUTION NO. 1838 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY RECYCLING CENTER AT CYPRESS COLLEGE. WHEREAS, through the initiative of Steve Christy and Jack Dale, both sophomores enrolled in the Urban Politics class at Cypress College, a Community Recycling Center has been established at Cypress College; and WHEREAS, the Community Recycling Center, which is located off the Holder Street entrance near the Adult Education building at the college, is a joint project with the Environmental Coalition of Orange County; and WHEREAS, recycling is a natural necessity, which cuts down on litter, reduces the excessive waste of energy, materials and valuable land now used as dumps, and further saves the taxpayers' dollars now spent on disposal; and WHEREAS, the Environmental Awareness Club of Cypress College will be manning the 24 hour drop-off center, hopefully with the assistance of volunteer workers from the community; and WHEREAS, Cypress College and the Environmental Coalition of Orange County and all other individuals involved are to be commended for this community project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cypress does hereby support the Community Recycling Center at Cypress College and urges all citizens to join in support of this most worthwhile community project. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cypress at a regular meeting held on the 14th day of March 1977.
