1960-06-07 (Special Meeting)CONSENT TO HOLD AND WAIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS That we the undersigned, being all the Councilmen by mutual consent and understE,nding beforehand, hereby consent to hold a special meeting of the Council of said City at the Cypress City Hall on the 7th day of June, 1960, at the hour of 7'30 P M of said day, and we agree that all of the acts and proceedings of said meeting shall be as valid as if had or taken at a meeting duly and regularly called and noticed We further waive all notice of the time, place, and purpose of said meeting, whether required by the laws or otherwise IN WITNESS WHEREOF we have hereunto subscribed our signatures this 7th day of June, 1960 Thomas A Baroldi ./J /txc Waltz J rowood June 7, 1960 //t drtin GIcCne cob Van Dyke MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS June 7, 1960 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Cypress was called to order by Mayor Thomas Baroldi, in the Cypress City Hall at 7 30 o'clock P. M. Councilmen present. W. J, Arrowood, T. A, Baroldi, M. G. McCarney, and J. J. Denni Councilman absent• Jacob Van Dyke City officials present City Treasurer Leal, City Attorney Howell, and City Manager -Deputy City Clerk Wesenberg INTERVIEW At this time the City Council extensively interviewed applicants for the position of City Engineer. Mr. B. Williamson was the first gentleman interviewed, followed by Mr. John Hoy, LIMITED ACCESS RESOLUTION Upon motion of Councilman. McCarney, seconded by Councilman Arrowood and unanimously carried, Resolution No. 114, limiting access from residential subdivisions upon major City streets, was unanimously adopted, GAS TAX ENGINEF ING RESOLUTION Upon motion of Councilman Arrowood, seconded by Councilman McCarney and unanimously carried, Resolution No.115, authorizing the proper City officials to sign an agreement with the State Division of Highways for gas tax engineering funds, Fiscal Year 1960-61, was adopted, CONTINUATION OF INTERVIEWS Prospect John Toups was interviewed at this time for the position of City Engineer, Upon motion of Councilman McCarney, seconded by Councilman Arrowood and unanimously carried, the City Council officially appointed John Toups as City Engineer for the City of Cypress. June 7, 1960 ADJOURNMENT Upon motion of Councilman Arrowood, seconded by Councilman MoCarney and unanimously carried, the meeting was duly adjourned until the next regular Council meeting, Thomas A.
