OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS
That we, the undersigned, being all the Councilmen, by
mutual consent and understanding beforehand, hereby consent to
hold a special meeting of the Council of said City at the
Cypress City Hall on the 25th day of November, 1957, at the
hour of 7'30 P M of said day, and we agree that all of the
acts and proceedings of said meeting shall be as valid as if
had or taken at a meeting duly and regularly called and
noticed.
We further waive all notice of the time, place, and
purpose of said meeting, whether required by the laws or
otherwise
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto subscribed our

MINUTES OF MEETING OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CYPRESS
November 25, 1957
The City Council of the City of Cypress was called to order in
special meeting by Mayor Van Dyke, at 7.30 P. M., November 25,
1957, in the Cypress City Hall
Council members present. A. E. Arnold, W. J. Arrowood, T A
Baroldi, J Van Dyke, and J. Van
Leeuwen
Council members absent None
City officials present: Deputy City Clerk -City Manager Wesen-
berg and City Clerk Olsthoorn
POLICE CHIEF
After a brief discussion, by secret ballot, the Council voted
upon the selection of a Police thief for the City of Cypress.
The ballots were counted by the City Clerk and read as follows
For the appointment of M W Hansen as Police Chief,
four (4) in favor; Carl T Hartmeyer,one (1) in favor.
Upon motion of Councilman Baroldi, seconded by Councilman Arnold,
and unanimously carried, upon the following roll call vote the
Council appointed M W. Hansen as Chief of Police of the City of
Cypress, to be effective as of January 1, 1958 Roll call
AYES Councilmen Arnold, Arrowood, Baroldi, Van
Dyke, and Van Leeuwen
NOES None
ABSENT. None
UNIFORM ALLOWANCE
After a short discussion, upon motion of Councilman Arnold, se-
conded by Councilman Arrowood, and unanimously carried, the
Council authorized a 425 00 a month uniform allowance for all
police personnel in the Cypress Police Department
PATROLMAN WAGE RAISE
Upon motion of Councilman Arnold, seconded by Councilman tirrowood,
and unanimously carried, the Council authorized that the necessary

resolution be drawn, allocating funds to the Police Department
Salary Fund, enabling the patrolman to receive 4400 00 per month
salary holl call
AYES. Councilmen Arnold, Arrowood, Baroldi, Van
Dyke, and Van Leeuwen
NOES None
ABSENT None
POLICE CAR
Upon motion of Councilman Arrowood, duly seconded and unanimously
carried, the City Manager was authorized to issue a purchase
order for a Ford police car, to the specifications previously
agreed upon by the Council, to the Pioneer Ford Company of
Artesia, purchase price $1,998.00, said purchase order to be
given only if Pioneer Ford remains low bidder after receipt of
the bid of the McCoy Motor Company
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the â– eeting was adjourned upon
motion of Councilman Baroldi, seconded by Councilman Arrowood,
and unanimously carried.
