CONSENT TO HOLD AND WAIVER
OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS
That we, the undersigned, being all the Councilmen, by
mutual consent and understanding beforehand, hereby consent to
hold a special meeting of the Council of said City at the Cypress
City Hall on the 28th day of February, 1958, at the hour of
7 30 o'clock P M of said day, and we agree that all of the
acts and proceedings of said meeting shall be as valid as if
had or taken at a meeting duly and regularly called and noticed.
We further waive all notice of the time, place, and
purpose of said meeting, whether required by the laws or
otherwise.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto subscribed our
signatures this 28th day of February, 1958.

MINUTES OF THE iMEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CYPRESS
February 28, 1958
Mayor Van Dyke called the special metating to order at 7'3O o'clock
P. M. in the Cypress Park Recreation Building and announced
that this was the time and place duly scheduled for the public
hearing on the general zoning ordinance and the official sec-
tional maps of the City, showing land use classifications.

Neff, City Clerk Olsthoorn, and
City Manager -Deputy City Clerk
Wesenberg.
The Mayor introduced the City officials present and asked the
City Attorney and Engineer to explain the ordinance and the
sectional maps.
Mr Lee Williams presented himself, stated that he was
representing the property owner, Dr Russell Clark and asked
that the property at the southwest corner of Lincoln and
Bloomfield remain A-2
A Mr. R. `ti. Helms stated that he and the parties he was
representing were pleased with the M-1 zone on their property.
Mr H H Waters of Pomona stated that he preferred that
the zone on his property remain A-2
Mr Kuppens, a dairyman, stated that he preferred that the
zoning on his property remain A-2.
Mr Kenneth Bordner stated that he was representing him-
self and other property owners on Bishop Street and protested
the C-2 zoning on the north side of Bishop Street.
A Mr George Koumis protested a commercial zone on Walker
Street.
A Mr Sam Rosen asked that his property on Walker Street
be given a commercial zoning.
The Deputy Clerk read a letter from Mr. and Mrs Jacob
Van Leeuwen, asking that the zone on their property at the
corner of Orange and Walker remain R-4

Er Cris Gaspar asked that his property
just south of Newman Street be zoned C-2.

It was moved by Councilman Arrowood, seconded by Council-
man Baroldi and unanimously carried, that, there being no
further testimony offered at this public hearing respecting
either the general zoning ordinance or the sectional district

maps showing land use classifications, that these matters
having been sent tQ the Council after study and hearings by
the City Planning Commission and all persons present desir-
ing to be heard regarding the matter having been heard, that
the public hearing duly called noticed and held is hereby
closed and that the matter of the general zoning; ordinance and
the sectional district maps is hereby taken under submission
by the City Council
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned
until Monday, March 3, 1958, at 4 00 P 1'1 in the City Hall.
