1958-03-03MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPEESS March 3, 1958 An adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Cypress was called to order at 4.00 P. M. by Mayor Van Dyke in the City Hall Councilmen present J. Van Dyke, T A Baroldi, and W. J. Arrowood Councilmen absent A. E irnold and J Van ieeuwen City officials present' City Clerk Olsthoorn, City Attorney Howell, and City Manager Wesenberg The Council considered the proposed official sectional maps of the City of Cypress, the recommendation of the Planning Com- mission, and the views expressed at the public hearings. It was moved by Councilman Arrowood, seconded by Council- man Baroldi and unanimously carried, that the following motion be and is hereby adopted: 1 That official Sectional Maps Nos. 15-4-11, 22-4-11, 27-4-11, and 28-4-11 are hereby approved, 2 That official Sectional Maps Nos 16-4-11, 17-4-11, 20-4-11, and 21-4-11 are proposed to be changed in the fol- lowing manner: Sectional Map 16-4-11 That the triangular piece or section immediately south of the Planning Commission's proposed C-2 district east of the Pacific Electric Railway and south of Lincoln, be zoned C-2 Said triangular section is proposed to be R-4 by the Planning Commission That the Southern half of the first block south of Lincoln and east of Walker be zoned R-4, starting at the first alley east of Walker Street and going east to the Pacific Electric right-of-way That the southeast corner section of Walker and Newman, now zoned C-2, be re -zoned R-4. That the Rosen property, east of Walker Street and abutting thereon and north of Orange £.venue, be re- zoned C-1. That the narrow strip of land, 150 feet deep beginning at the northwest corner of Orange and Hiller and ex- tending on the west side of Miller north 665 feet, be zoned M-1. -1- March 3, 1958 That all of the remaining property proposed by the Planning Commission to be zoned A-2 within the section of the City of Cypress bounded by Miller, Lincoln, Orange and Walker be zoned R-4. Sectional Map 21-4-11 That all of the Frank Vessels property, between Uerritos and Katella, be re -zoned to RC, recreational zone Sectional Nap 20-4-11 That Frank Vessels' property, •e ween err os a •-telia, be zoned RC, recreational zone That all property owned by the Kuppens Dairy, immediately north of Cerritos, between Moody and Bloomfield, be zoned A-2 That the narrow strip of property, immediately east of the Kuppens Dairy property and facing Cerritos Avenue, also be zoned A-2. Sectional Map 17-4-11. That the strip of property, ap- proximately ee deep, facing Lincoln Avenue within the City of Cypress between Bloomfield on the east and the city limits on the west, be zoned A-2 Present proposed zoning by the Planning Commission is C-2. That the property of Chester A. Larkin, located imme- diately adjacent to Denni Street on the west side and approximately 450 feet north of Ball Road be zoned A-2. 3. That the official Sectional Maps Nos. 16-4-11, 17-4-11, 20-4-11, and 21-4-11, as changed, are hereby referred to the Planning Commission for a report There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was duly adjourned until the next regular meeting.
