Ordinance No. 50ORDINANCE NO 50 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS AMENDING BUDGET ORDINANCE NO. 42. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS. Section 1. There is hereby created a new General Fund Account No. 3356 entitled Contractual Medical, and there is transferred from Account No 3350 to Account No 3356 the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($150.00) Section 2. The following General Fund Accounts are increased to the amount opposite each account number and there is hereby transferred from the General Fund to each such specific account number suffi- cient funds to meet such account budget appropriation General Fund Account 3300 (Police Salaries) increased to Twenty -Six Thousand One Hundred and Sixty '26,160.00) General Fund iiccount 3308 (Uniform Allowances) increased to One Thousand Five Hundred ($1,500 00) General Fund Account 3344 (Police car reconversion, maintenance, etc ) increased to Two Thousand One Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($2,150 00) General Fund Account 3342 (Gas, oil) increased to Five Thousand Five Hundred Seventy -Five Dollars ($5,575 00) General Fund Account 3310 (Equipment, Supplies) increased to One Thousand Dollars ($1,000 00) General Fund Account 2967 (Social Security) increased to Nine Hundred Sixty Dollars ($960.00). General Fund Account 2968 (State Disability Insurance) increased to One Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,150 00) -1- Ordinance No 50 General Fund Account 5050 (Street Construction) increased to Forty -Eight Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Dollars ($48,260 00) Section 3. General Fund Account No 1550 (City :engineer, Contractual) is hereby established with the transfer of Nine Hundred Dollars ($900 00) from the General Fund to Account No 1550 Section 4. General Fund Account No 1351 (City Attorney, special fees) is hereby increased to Four Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Dollars ($4,360.00) by a Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollar (0,500.00) transfer from the General Fund, including Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) transferred from the Contingency Fund. Section 5 General Fund Account No. 2000 (Elections) is hereby established with the transfer of Four Hundred Fifty Dollars (4450.00) from the General Fund Section 6. General Fund Account No 3150 (Weed Control) is hereby established with the transfer of rive Hundred Thirty -Five Dollars ($535 00) from the General Fund Section 7. The total budget amount of Eighty Thousand Seven Hundred Seven Dollars ($80:707 00) is hereby increased by Fifty -Eight Thousand Three Hundred Forty -Eight Dollars ($58,348 00) to One Hundred Thirty -Nine Thousand Fifty -Five Dollars ($139,055 00) Section 8 Section 4 of the Eudget Ordinance No. 42 is amended as follows There is hereby appropriated out of the Treasury of the City of Cypress for the Fiscal year beginning July 1, 1958, for the General Fund the aggregate sum of Ninety -Four Thousand, Seven -2- Ordinance No 50 Hundred Eighty -Six Dollars ($94,786 00) appropriated and restricted for the functions, purposes, departments and/or activities here- inafter set forth in the amounts shown in Section 10. Section 9. Section 7 of Ordinance No 42 is amended as follows* There is hereby appropriated out of the Treasury of the City of Cypress for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1958, for the Traffic Safety Fund the aggregate sum of Twenty -Five Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($25,500 00) appropriated and restricted for the purposes, functions, departments and/or activities hereinafter set forth in the amounts shown in Section 10 Section 10 The Estimated Revenue Accounts are increased to the follow- ing amounts 140G Sales Tax (Q5,000 00 increase) 939G 16,000 00 Expense Helmbursements 9,600.00 (Dairyland Police Contract $9,000 00) 310T Traffic Safety Fund 25,500 00 ($6,500.00 increase) 630G State Grant 40,610 00 ($40,610 00 Flood. Damage Appropriation From State) The total estimated funds to be available is hereby increased to One Hundred Eighty -Eight Thousand, Six Hundred Four Dollars ($188,604 00) Section 11 In all other respects where not herein specifically amended or previously amended, the Budget Ordinance No 42 is not amended Section 12 The Ordinance is urgently required for the immediate pre- servation of public peace, health, and safety for the reasons that the monies appropriated hereby are necessary in order to maintain the necessary payments of the various departments of the city to retain the employees and obtain the necessary supplies -J- Ordinance No 50 to police and otherwise protect the persons and property within the city and to render other necessary services, therefore, the City Council declares that this Ordinance shall take effect as, and is adopted as, an emergency measure and is to be in force and effect immediately Section 12 This Ordinance shall take effect immediately and within fifteen days shall be posted in three public places in the City of Cypress, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 22nd day of December, 1958. -4- -4- Ordinance Ordinance No 50 lt/tib (2';11.‘-- ';11.‘-- acob Van Dyke, CITY CLEHK'S CERTIFICATION STATE OF CALIFORNIA) COUNTY OF ORANGE ) ss CITY OF CYPRESS I, Martin Olsthoorn, City Clerk of the City Council of the City of Cypress, California, do hereby certify that, at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council held on the 22nd day of December, 1958, the foregoing ordinance was then considered and passed and adopted as a whole by the following vote AYES.
