Ordinance No. 57ORDINANCE NO. 57 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "DILLON ANNEXATION", TO THE CITY OF CYPRESS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS WHEREAS, on the 9th day of February, 1959, the Council of the City of Cypress did pass and adopt Resolution No. J0 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Cypress, said territory being therein designated as "Dillon Annexation", said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed, and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 80 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real proper- ty within the territory proposed to be annexed, and WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of March, 1958, at the hour of 7 0 P N , in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Cypress, County of Orange, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Reso- lution No. 30 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body, and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Cypress, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange, NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Cypress does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Cypress, and does hereby further ordain Ordinance No. 57 1 that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Cypress, That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Cypress is herein approved, is all that territory situ- ate in the County of Orange, State of California, more particu- larly described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the existing boundary of the City of Cypress with the North line of the Southwest Quarter (SWa) of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of Section 15, Township 4 South, Range 11 West, San Bernardino Merid- ian; in the County of Orange, State of California, said North line also being the existing boundary of the City of Buena Park, thence Easterly, along said North line, to the East line of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of the Southwest Quarter (SWg) of said Northeast Quarter (NE4); thence Southerly, along said East line, to the South line of the North 330.00 feet of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of said Northeast Quarter (NE4), thence Westerly, along said South line, to the existing boundary of said City of Cypress, thence Northerly, along said existing boundary, to the point of beginning.
