Minutes 78-03-29MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CYPRESS CITY COUNCIL HELD March 29, 1978 46i The adjourned regular meeting of the Cypress City Council was called to order at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 1978 at the Plankhouse Restaurant, 10011 Valley View, Cypress, Calif- ornia, Mayor Donald Hudson presiding. PRESENT: ABSENT: Council Members Evans, Rowan and Hudson Council Members Lacayo and MacLain Also present were City Manager/City Clerk Darrell Essex, Con- gressman Jerry Patterson, and his staff representatives Carol Casperson and Mike Scott. The City Manager reviewed the items that the staff discussed with Congressman Patterson during the afternoon meeting which included the IRS ruling on deferred compensation, President Carter's Urban Development Policy, the Economic Development Administration grants, and the grants under the Older Americans Act. Congressman Patterson advised the Council of Santa Aha River Flood Protection Project and CETA Program. the status of the the outlook on the Mayor Hudson reviewed the concerns of the City Council in ref- erence to the Southern California Association of Governments and the on-going concerns regarding the air activities at the Armed Forces Reserve Center. Congressman Patterson suggested that a future meeting should be held to discuss the future of the Armed Forces Reserve Center and the proposals to utilize the facility for joint military/commercial air activities. ADJOURNMENT: It was moved by Councilman Rowan, seconded by Councilwoman Evans and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m. to Monday, April 3, 1978 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cypress Civic Center Administrative Conference Room.
