A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS
ESTABLISHING PARKING SPACES FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF
HANDICAPPED PERSONS
WHEREAS Section 21458 of the State of California Vehicle Code
authorizes the use of blue as a curb marking for indicating parking
limited exclusively to vehicles of physically handicapped persons, and
WHEREAS, Section 22511 7 of the State of California Vehicle Code
authorizes local authorities by resolution to designate parking spaces
for the exclusive use of vehicles which display (1) a distinguishing
license plate or (2) a placard, both of which are issued by the
Department of Motor Vehicles pursuant to Section 22511 5 of the Cali-
fornia Vehicle Code, and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Cypress has considered
and recommended the establishment of such a restriction as contained
in this Resolution
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Cypress that
1 A handicapped parking zone is hereby established on the following
streets or portion thereof
A Grindlay Street east side, from 22' south of
of the curb ramp adjacent to the Civic Center
2. The City Traffic Engineer is directed to indicate
by the appropriate signs or by blue paint upon the
