Resolution No. 2127ara.-7 -i 143 RESOLUTION NO 2127 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS FINDING THAT CERTAIN PREMISES WITHIN THE CITY OF CYPRESS MAY BE MAINTAINED IN SUCH A WAY AS TO CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND DECLARING ITS INTENT TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO ASCERTAIN WHETHER THE SAME CONSTITUTES A PUBLIC NUISANCE, THE ABATEMENT OF WHICH IS APPROPRIATE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CYPRESS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE DETERMINE ORDER AND FIND AS FOLLOWS. SECTION 1 Report and Recommendation On August 13, 1979, the City Council of the City of Cypress received a report and recommendation of the Public Works Director finding that certain premises within the City may be maintained in such a way as to constitute a public nuisance as defined in Section 13-14 of the City Code of the City of Cypress SECTION 2. Description of Premises. Such premises involved are generally located at 9551 Holder in the City of Cypress, and described as Assessor Parcel No 134-181-04 SECTION 3• Description of Conditions: Conditions which may constitute such a nuisance are described as follows• 1 Unsafe vacant buildings including broken windows 2 Accumulation of combustible weeds, trash, and debris 3 Piles of discarded upholstered furniture and abandoned appliances SECTION 4• Recommended Abatement. The recommended method of abatement would be as follows. 1 Boarding up of all buildings 2 Removal of all weeds, trash, and debris 3 Removal of all discarded upholstered furniture and appliances SECTION 5 Nuisance The City Council of the City of Cypress hereby finds, based upon such report and recommendation that such premises may be maintained in such a way as to constitute a nuisance as defined in Section 13-14 of the City Code of the City of Cypress SECTION 6• Hearing The City Council of the City of Cypress declares its intent to conduct a public hearing on the 11th day of September 1979, in the City Council Chambers located in the Civic Center of the City of Cypress, 5275 Orange Avenue, Cypress, California, at the hour of 7 00 o'clock p m , to ascertain whether the same constitutes such a nuisance, the abatement of which is appropriate under the provisions of Article III of Chapter 13 of the City Code of the City of Cypress At such hearing, the City Council will hear and consider all relevant evidence, objections or protests and receive testimony from owners, witnesses city personnel and interested persons relative to such alleged nuisance SECTION 7. Notice Within 30 days after the passage of this Resolution by the City Council of the City of Cypress, the City Clerk is directed to cause to be served upon the owner of such premises, a certified copy of this Resolution and a notice of the time and place of hearing before the City Council Such service shall be made by registered or certified mail addressed to the owner at the last known address of such owner 010)7— )- 144 The City Clerk is also directed to cause to be conspicuously posted on such premises a certified copy of this Resolution, and a notice of the time and place of hearing before the City Council at least 10 days before the time fixed for hearing.
